NEW BUSINESS: Rings End, a full service paint and design center located at 131 Boston Post Road, opened for business a few weeks ago. Orange Barbershop, located at 633 Orange Center Road, has opened and a ribbon cutting will be scheduled the week of July 20th. Also at 633 Orange Center Road, Small Town Nutrition is set to open within the next week. The smoothie and juice bar will also offer healthy snacks, baked goods, tea, coffee and more.
THE ORANGE COMMUNITY FARMERS' MARKET HAS OPENED: While most community events have been canceled, the Orange Community Farmer's Market began the season on Thursday, June 25th. The market runs from 3:30 to 7:00 each Thursday until September 24th. Visit over 11 vendors selling products such as vegetables, honey, baked goods, sauces, rubs, jams, and more. The market is operating with COVID guidelines - masks, social distancing, etc. For more information, call the OEDC at 203-891-1045, or view the FARM MARKET WEBSITE.
ORANGE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT: The cancelation of the Orange Fireman's Carnival due to the COVID-19 crisis has a severe effect on funding of the Orange Volunteer Firemen's Association. Proceeds from the carnival help fund operations and the purchase of vital equipment needed to safeguard the Town of Orange. A campaign, "It's all about Community" Fire Truck $50K Challenge has been established to help this much needed function. Any wanting to donate can go to their GO FUND ME PAGE. No amount is too small.
